As a private museum, Museum Panorama Mesdag has been hit particularly hard since it has no major benefactor supporting the museum, does not receive any structural financial support and is fully dependent on its own income.

For years, the museum has made an indelible impression on its visitors, both young and old. The world-famous panorama, Mesdag's personal collection and the temporary exhibitions all make the museum unique. Museum Panorama Mesdag’s ambition is to continue to maintain its reputation as one of the Netherlands’ most important museums.
